N is for Nature

If you want to join in with making an A to Z of Me Journal through the month of February click through to the Challenge blog.

Here on this blog I am going to share how I made the page for today's prompt on Nature.

You will remember that yesterday I had put gesso on the page and painted it with acrylic paint.  I was actually working on both pages at the same time.  If you are starting with a blank page today, then cover it with gesso and paint with acrylic paint.

I used the other technique in yesterday's technique video and sprayed water through a stencil and then dried it with paper towel.

I sandwiched some pink tissue paper between some music patterned brown paper and a piece of book paper and using Tattered Florals die cut out some flowers.

I discarded the very large ones and stuck the rest onto the corner of my page, adding some bought paper flowers.

I stamped the squiggle again at the top of the page.  I stamped the word and again coloured it in using a Glaze pen.  I inked the edges of the verse and the quote with Distress Ink and stuck them down.  I used the stencilled pattern to guide where the journaling went.

This is another simple technique where the finished result looks much more complicated than it really is.

Hope to see you tomorrow.
