The months march on!

I have no idea where the time goes.  The last day of February!!!!

So here are my completed calendar pages for February (apart from today!)

And here are my pages ready to be filled in during March.   The clocks change in March so I used a clock image.  It will be British Summer Time ~ if only that meant sunshine and warm weather!

The secret's out

I made a wedding album for us and an almost exact copy for Kenny and Betsy.  A friend of mine took Betsy's copy with her on holiday to Orlando last Sunday to post to Betsy.  This morning I heard it had arrived in Palm Bay.   So here are the photos of the pages.  Some of the photos of the photos are not as good as I would of liked but you'll get the overall flavour of the album.

FaithscrappersUK Cybercrop

There's still time to join us over on the Faithscrappers forum.  The Cybercrop lasts all weekend.   So far tonight we've had two challenges and a class.  I designed the class so here are photos of the finished minibook that the girls are making.

The purpose of the book is to be a reminder for prayers.  Each double page has a pocket in which you can keep tags on which prayers can be written or prayer lists can be put.   There is a different focus each day for prayer.

Last weekend's CyberCrop

I had such a lovely time last Saturday afternoon and evening taking part in the first ever cybercrop at Scrapbooking From The Inside Out.   There were 3 layout challenges where we had to produce a layout to do with the question being asked.  This led to some very personal journaling which is why you won't see the layouts on here.   Then there was a sketch challenge and an ironscrapper challenge.   I don't know why it's called ironscrapper but it involves everyone being given the same photo and seeing what we come up with.

This is mine:

The cybercrop started at 4pm UK time and went on until 3am on Sunday.  However I gave up at 11.45pm.  SFTIO is an American website and has participants from all over the world.  For the organisers the crop started at 8am Pacific Time.

I'm taking part in another cybercrop this weekend.  Fortunately it's a British one so the hours won't be so peculiar.   However I'm out at a Newfrontiers training day on Saturday so will find it difficult to be part of it during Saturday.   If you're interested you'll find it here at FaithscrappersUK.   The theme for the Cybercrop is prayer.

Procrastination

My name is Bernice and I am not a naturally tidy person.   There I've said it.   That said there comes a time when I haven't put things away and I end up with just enough room to put a 12"x12" piece of paper on a table designed to seat 8 people!!!   So I determined to tidy up the space which could be called a craft room or a studio but was built to be a dining room.   I have a kitchen as well but that's only because it came with the rest of the house.  :)

I started yesterday.  I had read an article about how to overcome procrastination and the author said two interesting points in amongst several good points.  One: break the task down into smaller parts and two: say what you are going to do out loud.   So flies on the wall have heard me say: "I am going to put all the papers away", "I am going to sort out this cupboard", "I am going to find the dining room table" etc.  Actually I'm hoping there weren't any flies, although I did find some cobwebs.  Perhaps the spiders ate the flies.  (Cue for a song here!)

Anyway, I am pleased to say that I have finished and I can now start making a mess again.

Here are the before pictures:                         And here are the after:

So now I am ready to start making a mess.   I'm taking part in a Cybercrop on SFTIO today plus I have two scraplifts to do for a Scraplift on UKS, plus a CJ entry to do and a new Journal to make.

I don't think the table is going to look like this for long!
