E is for Emotions

Hi.

I'm sorry there is no page today for my A to Z of Me Journal.  When I was planning the challenges it was my intention to be several pages ahead of you all so that each day my page was here ready.

However during the time I had set aside for the pages, my Dad was in hospital and we were living at his house and my art stuff was 200 miles away.   Then his health deteriorated and we have been spending many hours every day at his bedside.

He died very peacefully on Monday afternoon, 4th February.

The month of challenges will continue as the whole thing was written and scheduled to post before all this happened.  I will come back with my pages when I can.  In the meantime please enjoy the An A to Z of Me blog,

As for my emotions, they are mixed  as you might imagine.  Sad that his life has ended but glad that the suffering is over.

Here is a photo of him in better times.  The day he collected his MBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

  1. Super photo of your Dad Bernice, what did he get his MBE for? I wondered if you'd mention you situation here and glad you have. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time and I hope all the contributions to your challenge find a way of giving you a smile in the days to come. HUGS BJ

  9. Bernice, I so sorry to hear that your father has passed away. I was concerned for you at the crop when I heard his health had deteriorated. I'm so glad that you were able to share a photograph of him - it is lovely that you are able to keep this happy and proud moment in mind at this difficult time. I am thinking of you and all of your family.
